Onstage
When
the
act "Onstage" begins, the action continues uninterrupted from
"Prologue." The video on the large screen onstage shows a
distant
shot of a house as shown below in Model 1 and the sound of a guitar
playing can be heard in the distance. The main character of "The
Unveilng" Joshua Wells
is in his
upstairs
bedroom above the garage playing guitar as shown below in Model 1. The
large digital
clock atop the live stage shows
it's 7:00 P.M. on
Halloween
night, the wind is blowing hard outside, it's
cloudy and there is a
full moon as shown below in Model 1.
As Joshua plays guitar in his bedroom, the camera slowly zooms in from
the distant shot of the house until
we ultimately enter his bedroom. As the occurs, the
volume of
Joshua’s
guitar gets progressively louder and video
clips of important events in Joshua's life begin playing in
chronological order superimposed on the video of the house and Joshua
playing guitar in his room. Joshua's
guitar playing is the soundtrack heard as the entire series of video
clips play. The first clip shows Joshua and
his twin sister Faith
in a hospital shortly after their birth. This is followed by clips of
Joshua as a young child and Faith is in all the clips with him as they
are inseparable.
We
see clips of Joshua and Faith's baby dedication ceremony with their
parents at
church,
of birthday and holiday celebrations, of Joshua playing with his
boyhood
friend Daniel,
and of Joshua and Faith in church and at Sunday school. The final video
clip from this series shows Joshua, his parents, Faith and 17 year old Christopher
Gold in church together singing worship songs. Christopher is a foreign
exchange student from Germany living at Joshua's parents home
for
his
senior year of high school who becomes the antichrist Dr. Christopher
Gold in later action.
Following
this, a key video clip plays and it shows Joshua and
Faith in the back of a van with two serial killers at the age of 6. One
of the killers
is
behind Faith and has one arm around her upper body and the other is
holding a knife to her throat. Joshua and the other killer are
directly across from Faith and this killer's hands
hold Joshua's head in place so that he must look at Faith and the other
killer holding her. Joshua is forced to watch Faith brutally
raped and murdered by the two men as one of the them slashes her
throat. Joshua is rescued by Christopher Gold as he's about
to be
killed in the van also.
This
particular
incident turns Joshua against God and shapes who he is as "The
Unveiling" begins.
As the
next series of clips plays, we see more video of a young Joshua
following Faith's murder and he begins to take an interest in music as
an escape to the horrible act he witnessed. We also
see some clips of Joshua starting to rebel and getting in trouble at
home and at school. Finally,
we see a series of video clips of Joshua's teen years and early
adulthood. These clips show Joshua outwardly rebelling
against his parents
and God, defacing church property, the beginning and escalation
of his drug use, his continued musical
development, his relationship with his girlfriend Darlene, gigging with
his current
band "Joshua's Tree," his decadent lifestyle and him in rehab for
heroin use which brings us to the present time.
This entire collection of video clips are part of Joshua's superhero
origin
story and play rapidly one after another as we zoom in on Joshua in his
bedroom. The only clip that plays longer than the others is the video
of the serial killers in the van highlighting its importance in the
story. The
remainder of Joshua's origin story is seen as the action in "The
Unveiling" unfolds. By the time the last clip plays, we are looking
directly at Joshua from right outside his bedroom window. Shortly
thereafter, the
last clip fades out, we enter Joshua's bedroom and the
volume of
his guitar is blaring. His walls are covered with music and superhero
posters and rock memorabilia. As Joshua continues playing guitar, the
scene in
the video switches from Joshua's room to the living room
where his parents Steve and Lisa Wells are with a group of people
having a Bible study on Halloween. Pastor Gary is speaking and Joshua's
guitar can clearly be heard in the living room as the action continues
uninterrupted with the dialogue below Model 2.
Model 2 below shows a camera shot of the house and Joshua playing
guitar after some of
the video clips mentioned above have already played and we are getting
closer
to Joshua in
his bedroom.

Pastor Gary: Next week we'll begin studying
the Book of Revelation and look at end time prophecy.-(As
mentioned above, Joshua's
guitar playing is extremely loud and it
notably disturbs Steve and Lisa who are sitting next to Gary.)
Lisa:
(Lisa stands up and speaks to the group)
Excuse me for just a minute. (Lisa leaves the living room
and the video picks up outside of Joshua's room. She knocks on his door but there
is
no response. She progressively knocks louder shouting) Joshua,
Joshua... (Upon getting no response, Lisa opens the door and
enters the room. Joshua's back is towards Lisa so he doesn't see or
hear her enter the room. Lisa taps Joshua on the shoulder, he turns
around startled, and quits playing the guitar.)
Joshua:
(Disrespectfully) Whataya
want!
Lisa:
Don't talk
to me like that.
Joshua:
Well,
Lisa: I want you to turn it down.
Joshua: It's not even that
loud.-(Joshua ignores Lisa and
starts playing the
guitar again. In response, Lisa grabs the neck of the guitar and Joshua
stops
playing.)
Lisa: (Stern) Turn it down now.-(Joshua pushes the
guitar forcefully towards Lisa knocking her off balance and
she almost falls
down) You just
crossed the line.
Joshua: Whatever.-(Joshua undoes his
guitar strap and throws
the guitar on his bed. As he does this, Lisa sees fresh track
marks from heroin use
on his arm.)
Lisa: Using again
aren't ya?
Joshua: (Shaking his head no) Not even.
Lisa: (Pointing at his arm) What about those fresh track marks. (Joshua instinctively covers the track
marks on his arm with his hand.)
Joshua: Just scabs from my
new ink.
Lisa:
Don't give me that. We told you this was your
last chance.
Joshua:
Calling me a liar!
Lisa:
(Nodding
yes) Yeah.
Joshua: Screw you!
Lisa: (Shocked) What,
Joshua: Get the hell outta here.
<>
Lisa: (Lisa
glares at
Joshua) I've got to get back but this
isn't over by any means.
Joshua:
(Pointing at the door again)
Just leave!-(Lisa
walks out of the room, Joshua slams
the door shut behind her, locks it and curses under his breath. He
then walks over to his closet, takes
a coat out of it, reaches
into its inside pocket and pulls out a leather pouch. Joshua sits on
his bed and opens the pouch. The pouch has a spoon, hypodermic needle,
some cotton, a large piece of rubber tubing and a few ballons of heroin
in it. The pouch and its contents are known as a "heroin rig." Joshua
opens up one of the ballons, puts the heroin in the
spoon, heats the spoon up, draws the heroin up into the hypodermic
needle, ties off his arm with the rubber tubing, palpates a vein and
injects the heroin
into his arm that has the fresh track marks. Following
this, Joshua's head
slumps over and he nods off. After a
few
seconds, Joshua's cell phone rings and the ringtone is the AC/DC song
"Highway to Hell." Shortly thereafter, Joshua brings his head back up
and answers the cell phone. His speech is somewhat slurred) Hello.
Biff:
Hey man, how's it going?
Joshua:
All right dude, but my parents are driving me crazy.
Biff:
I hear ya but this is
your big night, forget about em.
s
Joshua:
You're right, can ya believe it we're
headlining a sold out show at "Crossroads" on Halloween night.-(The fictional club "Crossroads" is similar
in size to Club Nokia in L.A. and can accomodate an audience of about
2500
people.)
Biff:
Any labels gonna be checking ya out?
Joshua:
Les said several A&R guys will be
at the gig. If everyone shows up there's no way someone
won't
pick us up.
Biff:
Ya gotta be pumped.
Joshua:
Yeah, I'm like flyin right now. (Joshua pauses momentarily) But
I gotta go and get down to the club.
We're on about 9:30, you'll be there right?
Biff:
Absolutely.
Joshua:
See ya there man.
Biff:
Later bro.-(At this point,
Joshua
gets off his cell
phone
and puts it in his pocket. He then gathers up all the items of his
"heroin rig" which are on his bed and puts them back in the leather
pouch. Joshua puts on his jacket and places the leather pouch in the
inside pocket of his jacket. Following this, he puts the electric
guitar
on the bed in a case and then grabs an acoustic guitar already in a
case. He walks out of his room towards the living room on the other
side of the house carrying both
guitars. When Joshua arrives in the living room, he stands behind his
parents who are having a
conversation. They don't know Joshua is behind them.)
Lisa: (Upset) I've had enough! He's
using again and I want
him outta here.
Joshua:
(Lisa and
Steve are caught off guard as Joshua speaks and they turn around facing
him) Don't
worry, this'll be the last time you ever see me. (Joshua walks forward past his parents,
sets one of his guitars down and
picks up a Bible sitting on one of the chairs in the living room. He
looks at the people in the living room, shakes his head back and forth, and begins
laughing) You idiots actually
believe these fairy tales don't ya? What a
bunch of losers.-(At this
point, Joshua tosses the Bible on
the floor, picks up the guitar he sat down and looks at his parents)
I'm so outta here.-(At this point, Joshua
turns around and begins walking towards the front door.)
Steve: (Angry and loud) Joshua, Joshua,
Joshua: (Joshua continues
walking towards the front
door ignoring his father. When he reaches the door, Joshua sets
both of the guitars down on the porch outside, turns around and looks
at
his parents one last time, smiles and says) Go to hell!-(After
Joshua says this, he slams the front door shut, this videotaped
segment ends and the large video screen onstage fades to black. As soon as
the video on the large
screen onstage fades to black ending the videotaped segment at Joshua's
home,
pre-taped video footage
begins playing on the video
screens on each side of the
live stage. The video shows
the fictional club
"Crossroads" on
Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood with a billboard announcing that Joshua's
band "Joshua's
Tree" is headlining a
Halloween concert. The large
digital clock atop the live
stage which is in effect the stage at the club "Crossroads" shows it's
11:00
P.M. on Oct.
31, 2020 as shown below in Model 1. The stage is dark and most of the
live audience watching "The Unveiling" being performed live is
dressed up like
it's
Halloween. This is an example of the interactive nature of the
production as audiences attending live performances of "The Unveiling"
in effect become the crowd at "Crossroads" on Halloween. When "The
Unveiling" tours worldwide, audiences will be encouraged to dress up
for the show like it's actually Halloween. As a
result, regardless of the dates live audiences see "The Unveiling,"
they in effect get to celebrate Halloween when attending a performance
of the musical. As the action continues, the
audience
watching the
production of "The Unveiling" live plays the role of the crowd at
"Crossroads." The stage and auditorium where "The Unveiling"
is being performed live at is dark and the live audience is yelling
"Joshua's Tree" over and over so the band will play another song for
the encore. The live
stage(ie. "Crossroad's" stage) fills up with fog as shown below in
Model 1 and the
intro to the song
"Onstage" begins to play. There
is text and accompanying
models below the lyrics of the song "Onstage" that
describe the action that takes place
on the
live stage and in the video playing on all the video screens
as the song "Onstage" is performed live. The song
played here is a very rough demo version of the song "Onstage." Click
on the play button below to
listen to the song "Onstage" and view a video presentation
accompanying it. However, the
presentation only captures a portion of the
action accompanying the song so all the remaining text and models below
must be read
and viewed to get a complete and accurate picture of all
the action that takes place. You will need
to come back to this page after viewing the video presentation
to
continue
reading the preview. The
action continues uninterrupted with Models 1-3 and the text
below Model 3 as the intro of "Onstage" begins to play.)

Verse
1:

it's the crowd that brings me to life
Souls connected as we gather, we'll rock the night away

When the
intro of the song "Onstage" starts
to play, video
which is "Joshua's Tree" artwork appears on the large video screen
onstage as shown above in Model 2. However,
unlike the video image shown in Model 2, the "Gate to Hell" is
completely closed at this time and the hounds of hell are not pulling
the levers
opening the Gate yet.
As
the
30 second
intro
of the song "Onstage" plays, the artwork
on
the large screen onstage comes to life in sync with the audio of the
intro and
the hounds of hell look upward and howl. Following
this, the hounds of
hell pull the levers to open
the "Gate to Hell" and we see and hear the gate opening up as shown
above in Model 2. Shortly thereafter, a caricature
of
Satan appears above the "Gate to
Hell" and starts
laughing
maniacally as
shown above in Model 3. At the same time, some branches from the two
trees
in the artwork connect to the caricature of Satan as shown above in
Model 3.
Immediately thereafter, all the branches of the two trees come to life
and start moving around. Although not shown in the artwork above,
some of the branches wrap around the "Joshua's Tree" initials at the
top of the video screen. The branches of the trees will move throughout
the
video presentation of the song "Onstage." When Satan stops
laughing, the gate is
completely open and stops moving. At this point,
the intro is over and Joshua and his band
start playing the beginning of the song "Onstage" live. Joshua
has no idea whatsoever how prophetic he is as he performs the song
"Onstage" with its video presentation which he wrote and
created himself. At this point,
the action continues uninterrupted with Models 4-15 and the text below

I feel power that You could not offer me(repeat)
I don't wanna live for You, I just live for the stage
I don't wanna live for You, Power comes from the stage
As the intro ends and the guitar
intro of the song "Onstage" is played live, the
lead guitarist
walks through the "Gate to Hell" playing guitar and down the steps to
the top of the amplifiers, walks
on the amps to the right side of the stage and stops standing atop the
right amps playing "Onstage" live as shown above in Model 4. As soon as
the drums are heard at the beginning of the song
"Onstage," the
drummer, his drum set and the drum riser light up as shown above in
Model 5 and he's playing "Onstage" live. Following
this, the bassist
walks through the "Gate to Hell" playing bass and down
the steps to
the top of the amplifiers, walks
on the amps to the left side of the stage and stops standing atop the
left amps playing "Onstage" live as shown above in Model 5. The desired effect for this sequence of
action is for it
to appear as if the musicians are actually walking from hell through
the "Gate to Hell" and on to the stage. Although not seen in the models
above, there is an orange glow behind the opened gate which is hell. About
16 seconds later, Joshua
rises
up from underneath the live stage through the fog playing guitar until
he's
standing
onstage as shown above in Models 7 and 8. The desired effect is for it
to appear as if Joshua is rising up from hell on to the stage. At this point, the video
playing on the
screens on each side of the live stage shows live video of the action
occuring onstage as Joshua and his band play the song "Onstage" live. As Bridge 1 ends, the "Joshua's Tree" artwork moves forward
increasing in
size as shown above in Model 9 so that it appears as if the viewer is
walking up the steps to
the entrance of the "Gate to Hell." Immediately thereafter, Joshua
sings the first line of Chorus 1 and the caricature of Satan above the
"Gate to Hell" repeats the first line in a deep and heavily processed
wicked voice. After this, Joshua sings the second line of Chorus 1 and the caricature of Satan repeats the
second line in the same deep and heavily processed wicked voice as
before. After
Satan finishes repeating the second line of Chorus 1, the video of the
"Joshua's Tree" artwork on the large video screen onstage moves forward once again towards the
orange glow behind the "Gate to Hell" and is replaced by live video of
Joshua and the drummer onstage as shown above in Model 10. This
makes
it looks like there are two
stages with one on top of the other and as if the entire band is
performing together on the upper stage. The stage is lit up with orange lights
and smoke, flames shoot up into air and
there is darkness as shown
above in
Models 10-14. The desired
effect is for it to appear as if the live audience has literally
entered hell through the "Gate to Hell" as shown above in Model 10.
When Joshua screams "stage" at the end of the third line of
Chorus 1, flames shoot up
into the air onstage and then go out as shown above in Models 11 and
12. Flames shoot up into the air and go out one more time after
Chorus 1 is completed and before Verse 2 begins as shown above in
Models 13 and 14. The action continues uninterrupted with Models 15-28

Right before Joshua starts singing Verse 2, the live video of Joshua
and the drummer onstage on the large video screen onstage is replaced
by the "Joshua's Tree" artwork as shown above in Model 15 and the band performs Verse 2. As Bridge 2 ends, the "Joshua's Tree" artwork moves forward
increasing in
size once again as shown above in Model 16. Immediately thereafter,
Joshua
sings the first line of Chorus 2 and the caricature of Satan above the
"Gate to Hell" repeats the first line in a deep and heavily processed
wicked voice. After this, Joshua sings the second line of Chorus 2 and the caricature of Satan repeats the
second line in the same deep and heavily processed wicked voice as
before. After
Satan finishes repeating the second line of Chorus 2, the video of the
"Joshua's Tree" artwork on the large video screen onstage moves forward once again towards the
orange glow behind the "Gate to Hell" and is replaced by live video of
Joshua and the drummer onstage as shown above in Model 17. When Joshua screams "stage" at the end of
the third line of
Chorus 2, flames shoot up
into the air onstage and then go out as shown above in Models 18 and
19. As soon as Joshua begins
singing Verse 3, the live video of Joshua and the drummer onstage on
the large screen is replaced by new video. The new video shows the
"Lake
of
Fire" which has flames burning from its surface and consuming the
world with the "JT" initials
in
front of the world as shown above in Model 20. It's
critical to note
that this will be video in the actual production and not just a still
image. In the video of this image, the waters of the "Lake of
Fire" are moving as ripples flow across its surface, the flames rising
from the surface of the lake are moving upward and swaying back and
forth, the burning world spins as its consumed by flames and the
"JT" initials in front of the burning world are actually on fire
themselves but
remain stationary as the world spins. When Joshua finishes singing Verse 3, he begins lowering
into the fog as shown above in Model 21
ultimately disappearing into the fog as
shown
above in Model 22. The lead guitarist and bassist remain standing
atop the amplifiers and the drummer
continues to play as
the lead break is performed live as shown above in Model 22. As the lead break plays, Joshua rises
upward from beneath the
"Lake of Fire'
as shown above in Model 23 until he's
standing on the surface of the lake as shown above in Model
24. After this, Joshua walks atop the "Lake of Fire"
until he is standing atop the amplifiers right behind the drummer as
shown above in Model 25 and then he begins singing Chorus 3. As Joshua
sings, an image in the
burning world appears on the
video screen and
moves forward increasing in
size as shown above in Model 26. The image is Joshua playing guitar and standing in
Satan's hands
with fire
burning around him as shown above in Models 26. The video image
of Joshua
is playing "Onstage" on his guitar and singing in sync with
the live
performance of the song. As the image of Joshua in Satan's hands
moves forward, the video of the
"Lake
of Fire" and burning world fades out until it's the only image on the
video screen onstage as shown above in Model 27.
At the exact moment Joshua
screams "stage" live onstage at the end of the first line in Chorus 3, the image of Joshua on the video screen
stops moving forward, the image screams "stage" in sync with Joshua and
flames shoot up
into the air onstage and then go out as shown above in Models 27 and 28. As the remainder of Chorus 3 of
"Onstage" is performed live, the video image of Joshua plays guitar and
sings in sync with Joshua and his band. At this point, the
action continues uninterrupted with
Models 29-33 and the text below Model 33 as the song
"Onstage" comes to a close. Joshua
has no idea whatsoever how prophetic he is as he performs the song
"Onstage" with its video presentation which he wrote and
created for the show at
"Crossroads." The conceptual artwork of the "Lake of
Fire" and burning world is perfect for what's about to
happen worldwide in "The Unveiling." One hour after Joshua's
performance at "Crossroads,"
the
Rapture occurs and Joshua's life takes a
dramatic turn as hell takes over worldwide and rules for the next seven years.

this, Joshua turns around, walks
up the steps and through the "Gate to Hell" and
disappears from sight entering hell as shown above in Model 30. After
this,
the lead
guitarist walks
atop the amps on the right side of the stage until he reaches the steps
leading to the "Gate to Hell," walks up the steps and through the
"Gate to Hell" and disappears from sight entering hell as shown above
in Model 31. Shortly thereafter, the bassist walks
atop the amps on the left side of the stage until he reaches the steps
leading to the "Gate to Hell," walks up the steps and through the
"Gate to Hell"and disappears from sight entering hell as shown in Model

the
drummer remains onstage after this sequence of action takes place.
Joshua and his band
continue to play the song "Onstage" live when they leave the stage
until the song ends.
As
the song "Onstage" comes to a close, the music ends, we see and hear the "Gate to
Hell" close, the stage
and video screen go completely dark and the "Joshua's Tree" initials
light up in
orange on the video screen onstage as shown above in
Model 33. The
final image on the video screens on each side of the live stage is also
the "JT" initials lit up in
orange. At

"Onstage" is over and the action continues uninterrupted as we move
